Kinesthetic Efference
While frequently overlooked, the internal knowledge of ones own motor commands (efference or efferent copy) is also a vital form of internal feedback which is important for kinesthetic awareness.
CENTRAL FEEDBACK LOOP:
- Internal feedback as opposed to sensory feedback
- gives data about motor commands which have been initiated (motor schema)
- feed forward primes perceptual systems for sensory expectations
