Kinesthetic Efference

While frequently overlooked, the internal knowledge of one’s own motor commands (“efference” or “efferent copy”) is also a vital form of internal feedback which is important for kinesthetic awareness.

CENTRAL FEEDBACK LOOP:

Internal feedback as opposed to sensory feedback
gives data about motor commands which have been initiated (motor schema)
feed forward primes perceptual systems for sensory expectations
